Brooke Lynn Maley

Ashley Lee Maley, was born July 7, 1987 in Clarinda, Iowa. Brooke Lynn Maley, was born November 30, 1988 in Red Oak, Iowa. They are the daughters of Gary Maley and Debra Sharp Maher. Ashley and Brooke died on Friday, August 23, 2002 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident north of Stanton, Iowa. Ashley was the age of 15 years, 1 month and 16 days. Brooke was the age of 13 years, 8 months and 24 days. Ashley and Brooke have lived in the Stanton community all their lives. Ashley was a freshman and Brooke was in 8th grade in the Stanton School system. They both enjoyed sports participating in Volleyball, Basketball, Softball and Track. Ashley and Brooke were also involved in school band and choir. The girls were active in 4-H, and were members of Community of Christ Church in Shenandoah, Iowa. Ashley and Brook spent many hours with friends and family. Ashley and Brook are survived by their mother, Debra Maher and husband Doug of Stanton, Iowa, father, Gary Maley and special friend Penny Nelson of Red Oak, Iowa, brother, Kristopher Maley of Stanton, Iowa, Paternal Grandparents, Chuck & Connie Maley of Clarinda, Iowa, Maternal Grandparents, Glen & Mary Lee Sharp of Bedford, Iowa and Mary Maher of Red Oak, Iowa, Great-Grandparents, Raymond & Gladys Thurman of Clarinda, Iowa, Lavana Golay of Villisca, Iowa and Roy & Ayliffe Fisher of Red Oak, Iowa, aunts, uncles and other relatives and many friends.
