Research Notes and Corrections

Several trees have him as Burgess Riley. This is a misnomer, created by me, in early days of research. I gave my data to other researchers, who asked when I used Burgess Sr and Burgess Jr, just to keep them separate. Burgess Jr used the name Riley on one census. So Burgess Sr must be an exact replica of the name. Right? WRONG!! There is no documentary evidence that he ever used the middle name of Riley.
