About Burton Clay Haney

In 1959, Burt and Elese Haney moved from Livingston,Tn. to Macon County.They leased the "Macon Drive-In" with the option to purchase it,And the rest, as they say, is history. They provided generations of Macon Co. residents fun filled nights watching movies under the stars.They sold the drive-in when Burts health began to fail him.He passed away in 1993.Elese, or "Ma", as the entire county had come to know her as, continued to manage the drive-in until she passed away,ironically the last night the drive-in was to be open for the 2002 season.Burt was a member of the White Oak Church Of Christ.
