About Cajsa Ingrid Johansdotter
At the time of her 1753 marriage she was a maid (pigan) at the Gärdserum rectory (Prästegården). Her husband was captured by the Prussians in 1759, and deleted from the military rolls in 1764. Military widows were a concern, because the rusthållare was required to support them. Many military widows married their husband's successor in the soldier's coft, but she did not. She appears on the tax rolls at Gärdserum until 1780.
