Calvin Kerney King

Spiceland, Indiana, October 24, 1935: Calvin K. King, 82 years old died at his home northwest of Spiceland about 5 o'clock Saturday afternoon after a two-year illness from a complication of diseases. Widely known in this community, Mr. King had been a resident of Spiceland township for more than 67 years. Survivors are: three sons, Otis King and Everett King, both of Spiceland and Hillard King of near Knightstown; two daughters, Mrs. Josie Chew of Spiceland and Mrs. Florence Poer of Raleigh; and a brother, Anderson King, living in Michigan. Funeral rites will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home with the Rev. Howard Pascal of Fort Wayne and the Rev. Dawson M. Liggett of Spiceland in charge. Burial will be in Circlegrove Cemetery at Spiceland.
