Calvin S. Romig, 92, formerly of Lyons, of 1309 Romig Road, Downingtown, died Friday afternoon in the Brandywine Springs Nursing Home, Wilmington, Del. Born in Berks County, a son of the late John H. and Louise (Reinert) Romig, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Trexler) Romig on May 2, 1964. Mr. Romig was founder of the Romig Orchards in 1912 in West Bradford, Chester County, and was a retired employee at the Railway Mail Service of the Pennsylvania Railroad. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Downingtown. Surviving are a son, Robert T., Downingtown; a daughter, Anna, wife of Albert Scott, Cressona; three grandchildren, and one great-grandson, and a sister, Mrs. Earl Fegley, Cressona. Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Ralph W. Ralston Funeral Home, Downingtown, the Rev. R. William Phillips officiating. Burial will be made in Lyons Cemetery.
