About Candace "Marlene" Eatough

Marlene was born to Cornelius and Anita Vanderende July 23, 1931 in Utah. She married Clair Eatough who predeceased her in 1984. She was a member of Oroville 3rd Ward of the Church of Latter Day Saints, and Oroville Community Chorus-Soprano. Marlene was an artist who loved to paint and sculpt, enjoyed playing piano, music, gardening, canning fruits & vegetable and cats. She produced the monthly newsletter for her ward. Family & friends will remember how she taught them to appreciate nature, how independent she was and how she loved to serve her church & community.

She is the mother of Gail & husband Steven Eatough-Smith and son Don Eatough of Oroville; grandmother of Jennifer DeBold, Jillian Jakab & Brent Davidson; greatgrandmother of Melissa & Timothy Jakab; and sister of Fred Vanderende of Los Angeles area.
