

Capt James Scott was b. 1746 in England; m. 1st MARY RICHARDSON and 2nd DOROTHY QUINCY HANCOCK (widow of John Hancock). They wed on July 27,1796 at the Brattle Square Church in Boston, Mass. He d. June 19,1809.
"DIED. On Monday morning James Scott, esq. AEt 63. His funeral will be from his late mansion house in Beacon Street, this day at 5 o'clock P.M."- Boston Patriot, June 21,1809.
