He married Catherine TALIAFERRO, daughter of Richard TALIAFERRO and Martha Sarah WINGFIELD. She was born 1706 in King George Co., VA, and died 8 NOV 1731.

!1 Nov 1726: Rice Hooe of King George Co., and his wife Catherine gave lease of land on the north side Rappahannock River, King George Co. sold to Richard Taliaferro by John Reynolds. This land descended to his son Richard T., Jr. and on his death to Richard T., Jr.s sister Catherine, the said Mrs. Catherine Hooe.
