22 May 1768- age 24 MARRIED (1) Susannah Dodge - She was a distant
cousin by marriage thru his grandmother, Ann (Dodge) Rathbun. She d. 22
Nov 1777 leaving him with 3 small children.
(2) 18 Feb 1778-3 months after death of Susannah he MARRIED Mary
(Brown) Palmer (picture, page 21 "RATHBONE FAMILY HISTORIAN" (have)

Purchased merchant vessels for coastal trade and apparently went to sea
on the "Eagle" during the war. Listed as captured by the British ship.
"Venus". He is considered as a patriot by the DAR.
