Husband of Clara Josephine (nee Kuchar) Duncan, married 20 April 1946, at the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Anne Arundel Co., MD. Son of Lucy Amelia (nee Wright) Duncan & Frank Keys Duncan Sr. Brother of Dorothy Keeling (nee Duncan) Hildebrandt, Donald Wright Duncan, Frank Keys Duncan Jr., James Robert Duncan Sr., Eleanor Saunders (nee Duncan) Eisenhauer, & Ada Jane Duncan. Survived by three daughters & two sons. As a Sergeant, U.S. Marine Corps, during WW II, he was taken prisoner by the Japanese on Corregidor, Philippine Islands, until his release at the end of the war. Also a veteran of the Korean War, he retired as a Captain in 1957. With his expertise as an armorer from the USMC, he opened a gunshop after his retirement, which is still in operation managed by his sons.
