About Cara Sue Waddell

From Doris Waddell's Family Genealogy:

"In 1970 Stephen met and married Cara Sue Kiefer, a very pretty lady with brown hair and a sparkle in her brown eyes. Cara lived with her parents and three sisters, in the west end of Louisville until Cara started high school, when they moved to the South End and she enrolled at Holy Rosary Academy. She was a very intelligent woman and after she and Steve married, she went to The University of Louisville's engineering school. After she graduated from UofL she went to work as ombudsman for Jefferson County Air Pollution Control.

"Their first child, Michael was born in 1975 and in 1983 Steve and Cara adopted Newcomb and Dana, a brother and sister that they had as foster children. Their son Matthew was born in 1986, when Michael was eleven, and being the youngest child and the youngest grandchild occupies a very special place in the family.

"Cara was a committed Christian, who spent her life in service for her church and family. After a three year battle with breast cancer, she died in April, 2002."
