Caren was a superb cook and loved to entertain. Often, she would cook large meals for family members, she aimed to please.
Caren loved jewelry, she always adorned her fingers, ears and wrist with a diamond or two.
Caren enjoyed browsing through jewelry stores and Thrift shops where she would find great deals on clothing for herself and grandchildren.
When visiting us on Vancouver Island, her bags would always have a treat or two for us, she had a big heart and always thought of loved ones.
Caren loved to see Uncle Wally visit from Ottawa. He was very jovial and always made us laugh until we could not laugh anymore. Even when he visited us when we resided in Toronto, ON we were little children, he always amused us, that's all we really had in life, looking forward to the anticipated visit.
When Caren visited us in Nanaimo, we would always plan on a luncheon out, often we would browse in local stores and ended up eating lunch almost around dinner time.
It saddens me that when we relocated to Nanaimo from Ontario, Caren was diagnosed with cervical cancer in its 4th stage, we prayed for her, unfortunately God had other plans for her, she was taken from us far too young at 58 years of age. RIP, we miss you so very much, we will always love you and keep your memory alive in our hearts.
