***Carl and Shirley's marriage was short but resulted in the birth of one child, a girl, Rebecca (Becky). Shirley left West Virginia with Becky when she was a small child and moved to Michigan. Shirley's second husband adopted and raised the child who had no contact with her biological father. Allegedly, Becky did not learn of the identity of her biological father until she was a teenager. There is no mention of Becky in Carl's obituary.***
