About Carl Gustave Pfeiffer
GEDCOM Note
According to Aunt Alma Tresselt, her grandpa Pfeiffer came to the U.S. with his parents from Germany. Carl was an artist. He could not live on what he earned so went as a Tutor to a very rich family by the name of Hooper, who had several sons. According to his Certificate of Death, "Gustave" Pfeiffer was a Real Estate Agent (Retired Merchant). He came to the U.S. about 1842, and resided in N.Y.C. since about 1863. He was under the care of his physician from Oct. 16, 1878 thru Feb. 6, 1879. He died about 6:30 A.M. His Undertaker was an (L or S) Sanger (a relative of his wife's?).
