Carlton Lee Mastin

Carlton Lee Mastin went to be with his Lord on November 7, 2022, while at Mary Washington Hospital.

Carlton was born on April 22, 1937, to Elsie Hicks and Winfrey Talmage Mastin of Spotsylvania, Va. He graduated from Spotsylvania High School and joined the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Greenland. He enjoyed all sports, especially Drag Racing, Nascar, hunting and fishing.

Carlton's survivors include his wife, Janice; daughter, Cindi Garland (James); grandson, Grant Garland (Lindsay); granddaughter Kendall Garland (Kevin); great-grandsons, Ethan and Gavin Garland; and his brother, Gerald Mastin (Mildred). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many.

He donated his body to the Virginia State Anatomical Program, to help with research and education for others.

His memorial service is being held at Spotsylvania Baptist Church on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
