Idaho State Journal, 03/29/07 GRACE — Carmen Roholt, 97, of Grace, passed away Monday, March 26, 2007, at Spring Creek Manor in Soda Springs. She was born December 22, 1909, at Cleveland, Idaho, the daughter of Albert and Mary Leona Townley Sant. Carmen was raised and educated in Thatcher and Grace, graduating from Grace High School. She married Nels Roholt May 22, 1931, in Brigham City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple on the 17th of February 1947. Nels passed away April 10, 2002. She was a member of the Thatcher LDS Ward and enjoyed visiting teaching and other Relief Society activities. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, flowers, cooking and was always interested in her family and friends. Carmen is survived by one son and one daughter, Gail (Clarice) Roholt and Leona (Mark) Peterson, all of Grace, Idaho. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and numerous great- and greatgreat-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Eugene Albert Roholt, a daughter, Connie Nadine Rhead, one greatgrandson, Wyatt DeKay and three brothers and one sister, Archie, Dell, Percy and Eudora. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 31 at noon at the Thatcher LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Thatcher Chapel on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Thatcher Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home.
