Caroline Crowther Flood, former Toledoan, age 76, of Ashland, Ohio, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2005, in Grant Medical Center. Caroline was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on December 17, 1928, to John Summerfield and Alice Malcolm Crowther. She spent most of her life in Toledo. She attended Sullins Junior College in Bristol, VA, and was an active member of the Junior League of Toledo. On June 28, 1952, Caroline married Thomas William Flood of Toledo, who predeceased her in 2000. Surviving are her two sons, Mark (Marisa) Flood of Colorado and Gregory (Debbie) Flood of Ashland and one daughter, Christine, of Ashland. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Lindsey and Haley; a brother, James B. Crowther of Houston, TX, and a sister, Mrs. Paul B. Brooks of Toledo. She was predeceased by three brothers, John Elton Crowther, John Summerfield Crowther, III, and Malcolm Page Crowther. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, at The Heyl Mortuary, Ashland, Ohio. Mass will be at St. Edward's Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2005, with Father Cassidy officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests consideration of St. Edward's Catholic Church or the school's building fund or the charity of the donor's choice.
