About Caroline Reed
She (Caroline) had long In mind the Idea of founding a school for the education of young ladies, and in 1864 the school, which had long borne her name, was begun. After twenty-five years of active life at the head of the school, Mrs. Reed resigned the supervision of it in 1890.
