MRS.W.C.DIFFENDERFER MERCERSBURG 74 R.R.l, died early Sunday morning in Chambersburg Hospital following a long illness. She was the wife of Walker C. Diffenderfer.

Mrs. Diffenderfer was born Oct 9, 1896 in Little Cove, daughter of the late David and Margaret Suffecool Gearhart.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three duaghters and three sons: Mrs. Elsie Sword, Mrs. Milton (Helen) Goshorn, Mrs. Quivere (Rebecca) Goshorn, George Diffenderfer, DOnald C. Diffenderfer, all of R. R. 1 Wayne D. Diffenderfer, Star Route South, McConnelsburg, 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and two brothers, William R. Gearhart, R. R. 1 Greencastle and Dewey Gearhart, R. R. 1. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Mt. Pleasant Church of God, with the Rev. Sarah Clayton officiating. Burial wll be in Fairview Cemetery.

Viewing will be held in the church Tuesday from 7 to 9 p. m. and before the service Wednesday.
