1st wife: Margaret Miller? (abt 1828-aft 1871/bef 1873), married bef 1861, at least 2 children (George, Conrad)
2nd wife: Catherine Hachburn? (abt 1854-aft 1878/bef 1881), married 1873, 3 children (Elizabeth [married (1) Beyer & (2) Bailey], Annie, John Henry) [Catherine's maiden name also spelled Hogburn and Hockburn in records]

Caspar and his family were enumerated in Wallace Township, Perth County, in 1871 and 1881. Caspar was born abt 1824 in Germany, according to these censuses.
Avondale burial register and Ontario Death registration have age at death as 87y (born abt 1822) but death registration also has birth date January 18, 1834.

Great-great grandson Ed Doadt (contributor 49568010) says:
