About Catalina de Castro
Catalina de Castro Bonifacio was employed in a cigarette-rolling factory in Manila. She and her working class husband worked hard to support their six children. In 1881, Catalina caught tuberculosis and died. Her husband passed away the next year, leaving their children orphaned.
