OBITUARY for Catharine Ann HEIM BERNHEISEL

Her obituary was published in a Perry County newspaper. An extract follows:

"... From our Green Park correspondent. Mrs. Kathryn Ann Bernheisel died at her home at Green Park, Tuesday at 3 a.m., aged 88 years 4 months and 1 day. Death resulted from paralysis ... was stricken Sunday, November 29 ... Mrs. Bernheisel was a daughter of Frederick [William] Heim and Susan (Sheaffer) Heim, of Loysville, her early life until her marriage being spent at the Tressler Orphans' Home Mill property, which her parents owned. She was a granddaughter of Rev. John Wm. Heim, who was pastor of the Loysville Lutheran charge from 1815 to 1847, and was confirmed by the Rev. Philip Willard September 21, 1856. She was married to Mr. Martin John Bernheisel, of Green Park, who died in 1909. To this union were born nine children: Austin of Hartford, Kans.; Fred, of Chicago; Sue and Luther, of Seattle, Wash.; Edith of West Collingswood, N.J.; Mary, of the Tressler Orphans' Home; Ora and Kate, at home, and Raymond who died in infancy. Four grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Weaver, of Pittsburgh, survive ... Mrs. Bernheisel has lived her entire life since her marriage at the Bernheisel Mill property.
