Catherina [Catalina] Destrehan

In 1773, she bought her freedom from the Destrehan estate for 320 pesos. Catalina named her oldest son Honore after her father. She had three other children Carlota, Manon and Felicite and operated a successful bed and breakfast in New Orleans at the room rate of one peso per night.
