Mrs. Henry Baize Passes Away Sunday
Mrs. Catherine Baize of Rt. 2 Scio passed away Sunday April 10, 1960 at seven o'clock am in Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland where she had been taken a few days previously, after twelve days in Lebanon Community Hospital.
Funeral services under direction of Fisher Funeral Home of Albany will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Scio Baptist Church in charge of the Rev. Edward Jantz, pastor of the Church of God in Christ Mennonite. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, northwest of town.
The deceased was born at Langdon, North Dakota on Feb. 11, 1911.
Surviving are the husband, Henry Baize and their one daughter, Janelle of the family home; mother, Mrs. Katherine Toews, Langdon, North Dakota; two sister Mrs. Lilly Goodson of Morris, Manitoba, Canada and Miss Anna M. Toews, Langdon, N.D.; three brothers, Ben N. Toews, Scio, Ore., Peter P. Toews, Clayton, Wis. and Abe F Toews, Langdon, N.D.; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. The family moved here from California about a year ago and have lived on the place formerly part of the Kalina farm, 3 ½ miles south of Scio. The family previously lived in Texas
