Catherine Blakely

Catherine was born about 1844 in Tennessee. About 1861, she married a man called Wilson, in Tennessee. They had a child together called, Rowina (1863). It is presumed that the father, Wilson died, as Catherine is found next in the household of Joseph Blakely in the 1870 census in Indiana, along with her daughter, Rowina Wilson, whose relationship to Joseph is step-daughter. Joseph Blakely became a widower in the mid 1860's, It might be presumed that Catherine did too, and they combined their families for mutual benefit. She is named Catherine Blakely in 1870 so it might be further presumed that they married about 1868 in Indiana. Catherine is a member of Joseph Blakely's family in the 1870 and 1880 census' of Indiana. They had 4 children together, Mary E(1869), OW James(1871), W Albert(1874) and Oron N(1879).
