Notes for Catherine BOASE: Catherine Boase ( Stewart) lost her first little boy Jessie - his father is unknown. She later took up with her younger sister's (Lucy) husband - Mr James Lawson and they had three sons. They were never married and assumed the name Stewart - James Lawson's mother's maiden name. Catherine died in NSW at the Ashton Private Hosptial Maroubra aged95 years of Cerebral Thrombosisi, Arteriosclerosis and Seniltiy. Shewas buried in the General Cemetery Randwick on the 7th June 1957. Deathreg no: 8433. Her address at the time of her death was noted to be194Botany Street Kingsford

i. Jessie BOASE, B: 1888 in South Melbourne, D: 1888 in Richmond Victoria. Notes for Jessie BOASE: Jessie was the first born illegitimate son of Catherine Boase who died when he was two months and 21 days old. He is buried in Richmond with registration no: 3537

ii. Frank STEWART, B: 1890 in Victoria Park, D: 02 Jun 1919 in Paddington NSW. Notes for Frank STEWART: Registered as BOASE Number: 16646. Noted on birth registration...father unknown. we know of course Franks father was James Lawson Catherine's sisters husband. Frank was in the 47th Battalion of the AIF and died of war injuries aged 28 years on the 2nd June 1919 at Moore Park Emergency Hosptial Coogee. Death certificate no: 12903 As per his death notice he was buried on the 4th June 1919 at the Methodist Cemetery Long Bay Road Coogee. He had resided at Strachan Street South Kensington prior to his death.

iii. Albert James STEWART, B: 1892 in Liverpool NSW, D: 20 Sep 1917 in Belgium. Notes for Albert James STEWART: Military No: 4231 Albert was a Private in the Australian Infantry. He died in Action in the Polygon Wood in the 17th Battalion aged 25 years. His name is shown on the memorial panel no: 84 at the Menin GateBelgium. Address noted as South Kensington New South Wales. iv. Percival John STEWART, B: 1895 in Liverpool NSW, D: 09 Jun 1977 in Port Macquarie NSW, M: Mathilda E NITSCHKE, 1931 in NSW.
