Catherine Rose Culver

Catherine Rose Seerden, daughter of Frank and Jadwiga Petrucha Seerden, was born on October 25, 1863 and died on October 16. 1931.

Catherine was married to John A. Culver, son of John Culveron June 12, 1884 in Matagorda, TX. Her husband, John, was born on October 2, 1859 and died on February 10, 1953,,

Catherine and John are burried at Matagorda, TX.

John spent most of his life rasing and selling fine range cattle as well as being a foreman for the Baer Cattle Company in Bay City, TX.

When John was a young man, he rode Pony Express, delivering mail from San Antonio, TX to Hebronville, TX. In 1880 to 1883, he spent every day on a cattle driveto Dodge City, KS. They would leave here in April and it would take them sometime in September to get the herd to Kansas.

John & Catherine(Kate) were both good Christian people and the good Lord blessed them with nine wonderful children: 1. John Franklin Culver, born april 8, 1885 2.
