This is NOT the same daughter as Alice Catherine who married Henry Hitt. Two different ladies!

The will of her father makes very plain that there were two different daughters - one named Catherine married to Jeremiah Darnall, one named Alice Catherine married to Henry Hitt. They likely had different mothers.

• married Jeremiah Darnall. They lived in Fauquier Co., VA and were married some
• time before 1740. Catherine and Jeremiah had a daughter named Elizabeth, but
• I think she's too old to be your Elizabeth, as she was born ca. 1742 and
• married William Sinclair.

Ann Darnall, a daughter of Catherine and Jeremiah, was born around 1744 and she married John Weaver, son of Tillman Weaver, the Immigrant.

All of this info is from BC Holtzclaw's book, "Ancestry and Descendants of the Nassau Siegen Immigrants to Virginia 1711-1750." Let's do some more digging for your Elizabeth Darnall, as BC only goes so far, but she's probably a descendant of Catherine Holtzclaw and Jeremiah Darnall.

I have also seen reference to the Darnall family in Maryland and this may provide some clues as to their ancestry.
