• Married Peter John, 1812 in Brantford, Ontario, Canada
• Their children: Chief William John, Peter Brant John and Margaret John
• One of her duties as head woman was to confer the heredity tile of chief of the Mohawk, or Tekarihogea. She first conferred her son, William to the title/duty, but soon afterwards, he went into decline and died. Catherine then conferred the title on her nephew, Isaac Lewis, son of her sister Mary. Isaac too died not long thereafter. Her final confirmation was WJ Simcoe Kerr, the son of her sister, Elizabeth.
