She m Lyle E Ridenour Feb 4 1937 in Cascade; he preceded her in death in 2000. Katie worked at John McDonald Hospital 23 yrs as nurse aide & also was seamstress. She was mbr of VFW Aux, study club & ACCW. Surviving are children, Lyle J (Carol) & Jerry (Joyce), both of Marion; Tom (Juanita) Coralville; & Mary Kay (Joe) Lehman, Cascade; 11 grdchildren; 2 stepgrdchildren; many ggrdchildren; 2 gggrdchildren; bro, Jim (Bea) Gross, Larryth, MT; sis-in-law, Lois Gross, Dubuque; Velma Yeldon, Dundee; & Katie Ridenour, Waterloo. She also was preceded in death by parents; 2 sis, Viola Watson & Mary Margaret Emerson; & 4 bros, Ray, Paul, Bill & Robert Gross. Memorial fund has been established in Katie's memory.
