Catherine SIMS. Born Counry Fermanagh Ireland to Robert SIMS a farmer and Ellen SIMS. Catherine married James SHUTE, at the age of 21. They had 3 children born in Ireland. The 1st of 4 children chrildren born at Peeress Town Timaru, N.Z. was Ellen Elizabeth on the 29th September 1879. Catherine died on the 5th April 1885 at Timaru, aged 33. Lived in N.Z. 7 years. she is buried in the Timaru Cemetery.
