Catrina (Trintie) Goetschius (née Kip) was born in 1754 in New Jetsey to Nicasie Kip and Lea Kip (née Vreeland). Nicasie was born in December 1920, in Moonachie, Bergen, New Jersey. Lea was born on March 10, 1723 in Hackensack, Bergen, New Jersey. Catrina had 4 siblings: Hendricks and three other siblings.

Catrina married John Goetschius in 1774, at the age 19 in New Jwrsey.
