She was born Jan. 21, 1912 in Mansfield, N.Y., the daughter of Floyd and Dorathea Klein Howe.
She was the former postmaster of the Little Conewango prior to its closing, and in later years by the Conewango Valley Post Office until her retirement. She had been active in Conewango community affairs and a former member of the Randolph ECHO.
She is survived by two daughters: Phyllis Valeski of Magnolia Delaware and Rita Schmoll of Plantation; nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; three sisters: Edith Morrison of South Dayton, Lorena Perkins of Salamanca and Lillian Gross of Cherry Creek.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyle C. Brown, whom she married June 2, 1929, and who died Jan. 31, 1985; a son, Leo Brown; and two sisters: Nora and Viola.
