Obituary from the "Fergus County Argus" of Lewistown, Montana dated 19 Dec 1895: Echoings of the Judith.
Died - Friday, the 13th inst., Mrs. Cecelia David, mother of Dr. O.F. David and C.C. David, aged 79 years. While very few people of this vicinity had the pleasure of her acquaintance, having been a resident of the Judith only since September, still the large assembly of people, one of the largest ever gathered at a funeral here, came to pay the last fond tribute of esteem to a noble woman and to what is pure and holy in the memory of all of us a mother. Clerical exhortations may crash and thunder over the sin encrusted hearts of such as [we] to no avail, but the lessons of holiness, morality and self abdegnation taught in ideal womanhood are more potent than even the euroclydons of Sanai. Services were conducted by the Rev. Brodie of the M. E. church.
