Celia was was the daughter of JOHN ROBINSON and SUSANNAH "Susan" SHAVER, and the first wife of THOMAS BENJAMIN EDGELL. The 1850-1880 censuses show that she was born in various years in the 1840s, but the 1900 census has 1845 (no month listed). She and Thomas were the parents of six children, but only two survived until the 1900 census.

She preceded Thomas in death. The date and burial location are unknown at this time, but is assumed to be 1910-1921 since she and Thomas were living in Harrison County, WV in the 1910 census (he was a widower when he remarried in that county in 1922).
