About Chaim Alperovitz
Khaim Alperovich was born in Kurenets in 1905 to Elkhanan and Khana. He was married to Shoshka from Dolhinov and had 2 children ( son survived). Prior to WWII he lived in Kurenets, Poland. During the war he was in Kurenets, Poland. Khaim perished in 1943 in Narocz, Poland at the age of 38. This information is based on a Page of Testimony (displayed on left) submitted by Zalman Shklar, the son of his sister, a survivor who lived in Nazeret Ilit
The Jews who escaped from Kurenets ( 9-9- 1942) and places near by were hiding in the forests. After about a year (1943) the Nazis had the first blockade.
On that day, Chaim (the son of Chana nee Gurevitz and Elchanan Alperovich the Butcher), his wife and their little daughter were all killed. But their little son Leyzerke, who was only five years old, survived in the forest
