About Charity Adkins

Per Renee McCoy "It has always been said that Charity was the daughter of Bluesky , daughter of Shawnee chief Cornstalk, but most places have her listed as the daughter of Mary "Polly" Fry, but Charity's father had an affair with Bluesky and after Bluesky died at an early age, he brought Charity home and his wife Mary took her in and raised her as her own. The tails from my side of the family was that her darkened skin was not like the rest of the children and when someone said anything Mary always told them that she was hers."
