Son of Isaac Merritt Singer and Mary McGonigal. Married Minnie, maiden name unknown. Children, if any, not known. Charles's father never married his mother, and he was raised with the alias surname Mathews. Four older sisters, Ruth, Clara, Florence and Margaret also shared the same parentage.
Note: Charles' will was on England's National Probate Calendar on 21 October 1884 (Engl & Wales Index of Wills & Administrations 1858-1966). The entry references his wife, Minnie, living Hanover Square, Middlesex, Engl on the date of Probate.
