Charles Frisby Barry born: 14. Sept. 1790 in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England
16. Nov. 1815 marries Louisa Sharp (born 1792 Grantham,Lincolnshire) in London
moves to Cadiz, Spain where his daughter Louisa is born on 6. Nov.1816.
his wife Louisa dies 23. Jan.1818. he moves back to England.
where he marries Mathilda Laurie (born 14.May1804 in London) 1.Sept.1821
They move to Genoa, Italy. In the british colony there he meets the english poet
Lord Noel Byron and his affair ContessaGuiccioli.
1823 he provides Lord Byron financing for his trip to Greece to support the greek
fight for freedom from the Osman Empire. Aug.-Dec. Lord Byron is in Cephalonia.
Jan.1824 he arrives at the headquarters in Missolonghi.
19.April 1824 Lord Byron dies there of Malaria. Some belongings which Lord Byron
left with C.F.Barry as collateral, stay with the Barry family.
14. June1825 son Richard is born; 19.July1827 daughter Alice;
20.June1828 daughter Emily;
1. Feb.1829 C.F.Barry writes a detailed Last Will & Testament which is after his death,
registered in the Arcives of the Mecantile Tribunal of Trieste and the
UK National Archives. (Cat.ref.:PROB 11/1810/72)
7.May1830 son Alfred d´Orsay is born in Genoa. The Barry family moves to Trieste.
25.July 1832 Charles Frisby Barry dies in Opcina/Trieste.
5.Sept.1832 his daughter Caroline is born.
