He can be found on the 1850 census in Greene Co., AL (now Hale Co.) enlisted in the CSA at Five Mile Church and was captured and imprisoned for about 10 months at Rock Island, New Hope, GA abt 1864 before reaching home after discharge 3/25/1865. He married Hariette Johnston, daughter of Burrell Harrison & Sarah "Sallie" Davis Johnston, about 1865. They can be located in 1870, 1880, and 1900 on the census for Hale Co., AL
