Paul, Charles, Paul William & Heinie, taken about 1910, you can
see that Charles is wearing a plumbing symbol, a miniature
faucet hanging from his waistline, as a kind of watch-fob.
(Holland - 1887-1891) Charles A. Friedel, plumber, and wife
live at 119 E 2nd St, between Marr & Ellis, on the north side of
the street.
(Wright - 1899-1900) Charles & wife live at 68 E Johnson,
between Marquette & Amory Sts, on the south side of Johnson. He
is a partner in Charles A Friedel and W Arthur Seresse, Plumbers
and Gas Fitters, 379 Main St, just north of the RR tracks on the
east side of the street.

Everyone was born in Wisconsin.

Charles A. Friedel 65, for years a member of the plumbing firm
of Friedel and Murphy, died at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday at his home,
198 East Johnson Street, after a long illness.
The deceased was born Dec. 20, 1861, in Forest and had been a
resident here for many years.
Mr. Friedel is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Anton
Schumacher, Mrs. Michael Muth and Mrs. Jacob Kraus of this city,
three sons, P.W., Herman and Ambrose of this city; two sisters,
Mrs. John Hoffmann of Sheboygan and Mrs. Margaret Haensgen of
this city, four brothers, Peter, Joseph and Jacob of this city
and Michael of Sheboygan, and 21 grandchildren.
Mr. Friedel was a member of St. Mary's Church and of St.
Joseph's Society of that congregation. He was also a member of
the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.
The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday from St. Mary's
Church with the Rev. Peter Gersbach, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. (The pallbearers for
Charles were his nephews, Anton, Paul and Alfred Friedel,
William Pagel, John Hoffmann, Jr., and Joseph Haensgen.)

The funeral of Charles Friedel, who died Wednesday, was held at
8:30 a.m. today from the residence, 198 E. Johnson Street, and
at 9 a.m. from St. Mary's Church, The Rev. Peter Gersbach
officiating. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery. The honorary
pallbearers were the members of St. Joseph's Society of the
church, John Mandt, Joseph Mischo, Nicholas Konen and Joseph
Koenen. The active pallbearers were six nephews of the
deceased, William Pagel, Anton, Paul and Alfred Friedel, John
Hoffmann, Jr., and Joseph Haensgen. The funeral was largely
attended.
