About Charles Clapham
Evidently Charles' Bitterness towards Mary never subsided during the remainder of his life.
Charles' last will and testament of 1808 left property and a yearly allowance to his wife, Ann; twenty pounds to each of his sons, john and Charles; property after his wife's demise, and fifty pounds to his daughter Ann; property after his wife's demise, and all personal belongings to his son, George; but Charles only left to Mary one guinea. In addition, the will provided twenty pounds to be paid to his grandson Joseph Clapham, upon his attaining the age of 21.
Charles died December 9th 1811 in Welton, Yorkshire. His second wife, Ann Burnhill, proceded him in death and was buried in Welton on May 22, 1810
