Charles E. Dodds, resident of Wyoming since 1909, passed away in a Casper hospital at the age of 91.
Born April 6, 1868 in Gainesburg, Ohio, Mr. Dodds was a young boy when his family moved to Indiana. He came to Wheatland in 1909 and worked for a number of years for the Swan Land & Cattle Co. at Chugwater. He later worked on several ranches in the area.
Mr. Dodds was a charter member of the Church of the Nazarene here and a member of the First Church of Nazarene in Casper. His wife, Lula Cadle, whom he married July 9, 1893 at St. Paul Ind., preceded him in death three years ago. He resided at Evansville with his daughter, Mrs. Fred (Gladys) Dowler.
In addition to Mrs. Dowler, survivors include two sons, Paul L. Dodds of Casper and Albert R. Dodds of Olympia, Wash.; a brother, Amos Dodds of St. Paul, Indiana,; eight grand-children, 16 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Schrader Funeral Home Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment was in the family plot at the Wheatland cemetery.
