Dies Before Date of His Wedding

Montclair, Sept. 19, 1902 (Special) – Charles Barney Gould, twenty-five years old, of Aurora, N.Y., who was an aide-de-camp to General Joseph Wheeler in the Spanish-American war, and also served in that general’s staff in Manila, died at the home of his aunt, Mrs. Ida Ward, in Chestnut-st., yesterday from anemia, the result of a fever contracted while in the Philippines. He was engaged to marry a young woman of Aurora, N.Y., the wedding having been arranged to take place next month.
