The 1870 death enumeration for Lochleven, Lunenburg Co., VA lists Charles S. Hite, 6 months old, died March 1870; cause of death: spinal disease.

I don't know where Charles Stokes Hite is buried, but I suspect he may be buried in the Ogburn burying ground at South Lawn without a tombstone. His birth & death dates are recorded in the Ogburn Family Bible. If you would like me to send you a copy of the 10 pages I transcribed several years ago let me know. I also found in Ancestry.com "Charles Stokes Hite in the Virginia, Deaths and Burial Index, 1853-1917" that he was born in Lunenburg Co. in 1869 & died in Mecklenburg Co. 12 Mar 1870, age 8 months. Father: Benj H Hite, Mother: Sallie O Hite. I also noticed that Zoe had listed a child: John Hatchett Hite without a date of birth. He is not listed in the Ogburn Family Bible. You mentioned that two children were missing? I have 8 children w/o John Hatchett. I'm confused.
