About Charles Frederick Nesbit
At the Police Court this morning Charles Barnett andCharles Frederick Nesbitt, members of the City Rifles, were charged by Major Webb with unlawfully absenting themselves from a Government Parade on the 13th inst. without the permission of the Commanding Officer. Mr Pitt appeared for the prosecution. Nesbitt admitted the offence, but Barnett said he wag living at Richmond and had not seen the notice of the Parade. Captain Rowling in his evidence stated that Barnett frequently absented himself. The defendants were fined 5s each and costs 7s. Paperspast TOWN EDITION. Nelson Evening Mail. FRIDAY, JULY 16, 1886.
