Charles Joshua Parrish was born in Lincoln County, Missouri and lived his entire life on the homestead near Corso. He attended Robinson School.
Charles was a man of true merit and conviction, a kind and affectionate brother, a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was converted at the New Liberty Methodist Church.
Stately in carriage, he was about six feet tall, had blue eyes and brown hair. His profession was farming, his hobbies hunting and fishing.
Charles was married to Abbie McDanold, a handsome dark haired girl, and reared ten wonderful children.
As grandparents Charles and Abbie always had 3 or 4 grandchildren with them in the summer. It was a great treat to stay a week or so with Grandma and Grandpa Parrish.
