About Charles Robinson, Free Settler "Active" 1791

Charles was a Private in the NSW Corps. He arrived aboard the convict ship "Active" on the 26th Sept. 1791. The "Active" was part of the Third Fleet and had sailed from Portsmouth on the 27th March, 1791. On the 19th November, 1794, Charles was granted 25 acres in Lane Cove, District of Hunters Hill. NSW. He was granted a 10 year lease of half an acre of land at the Brickfields on the 24th Oct. 1799. In that same month was listed as a member of the Royal Veteran Battalion.
