Charles C Sands

Charles C. Sands, of Laceyville, RR 2, formerly of Mehoopany and Dryden, N.Y., died Wednesday morning at Tyler Memorial Hospital, Tunkhannock. Born in Eaton, July 31, 1910, he was the son of the late Korah and Jennie Farr Sands. He was employed at the IBM Corp., Endicott, N.Y. He was also employed at State Aggregates, Wysox. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline, in 1989; brothers, Walter and Gilbert (Ted). Surviving are a son, Edward, Florida; stepson, Joseph Frisbee, Binghamton, N.Y.; stepdaughters, Mrs. James (Beverly) Crosby, Spencer, N.Y.; Mrs. Tivila Young, Cortland, N.Y.; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews, including one niece, Mrs. William (Rosemary) Shoemaker, with whom he resided. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday from the Sheldon Funeral Home, Laceyville, with his nephew, the Rev. Darrell Sands, officiating. Interment will be in Forkston Cemetery.
